Eyewears

On a sunny day sunglasses are mandatory. Let me rephrase that, standard sunglasses are mandatory. A pair of shades that protect our eyes from UV rays.

While choosing sunglasses not only our personal style matters but also we have to pay attention to our own face shape.

You can find sunglasses in different price range. The price of sunglasses does not guarantee the quality. Make sure you get yours from a legitimate store. With a little bit of search you might be able to find some quality cheap shades. Therefore don’t be fooled by the price.

Another thing we should pay attention to is our face shape. This doesn’t necessary means that you cannot buy a pair because you have a specific face shape. This is just another way for you to choose a pair that compliment your face.

1. Oval: Many people consider oval faces to be the ideal shape, because they have the most balanced proportions. Oval faces have narrow foreheads, high cheekbones, and narrow chins. Of course, all face shapes are beautiful, but people with oval faces are lucky when it comes to choosing glasses. Pretty much any pair of glasses you choose should be flattering on an oval face. The only tip for you guys with oval faces out there is; try not to detract from the natural balance of your features. You already have even proportions, so consider carefully when choosing over sized frames.

People with oval faces should choose frames that are as wide or slightly wider than the broadest part of the face. Glasses with detailed embellishments also look great with the high cheek bones typically found on oval faces. You can choose a classic rectangular shape for a sophisticated, studious look, a retro cat-eye, or a trendy square or round frame. Really, anything goes!

2. Round: Round faces have wide foreheads, full cheeks, and rounded chins. A round face is easily identifiable from its circular appearance and the lack of strong lines and angles. When choosing glasses for round faces, the goal should be to add contrast to the face's natural curves and to avoid frames that exaggerate the roundness of the face. By adding contrast, you can make a round face appear thinner and longer. A good rule of thumb for people with round faces is to choose glasses that are wider than they are tall, as wider frames give the illusion of a slimmer face. Also, round faces should not be afraid to try glasses adorned with prints, bright colors, strong brow detailing, and other embellishments, which all add contrast and definition to the face. Finally, glasses with a clear or thin bridge can make your eyes appear wider while adjustable nosepads can prevent frames from resting on fuller cheeks.

3. Square: How do you know what glasses will look best on a square shaped face? Whether you are a man or woman, if your face is square, your most distinguishing feature is a prominent jawline. Many actors and models have a square face shape, because angular bone structure looks great in photos and on film. A good general rule of thumb is to look for glasses shapes that are the opposite of your face shape. So if you have a square face, with a distinctive jawline, you will want to pick frames with lots of nice curves to soften your look.

Round Frames , oval frames, or a cat-eye would all compliment a square face. For someone with a square face, the sharpness of your facial features could be exaggerated if you choose glasses that also have sharp angles. When choosing glasses for square-shaped faces, the goal should be to lengthen and soften the face by adding curving lines. You can also make a square face appear thinner and softer by selecting glasses in neutral colors (cream, beige, etc.) and choosing glasses that are wider than they are deep (i.e. tall), as wider frames give the illusion of a slimmer face.

4. Heart: When choosing glasses for heart-shaped faces, the goal should be to minimize the width of the top of the face and to broaden the appearance of the chin. Look for frames that are wider than your forehead, or have prominent end points. You can also soften your look by choosing frames in light colors or with detailing like a tortoise or floral pattern. Heart shaped faces are quite versatile, so many different styles will suit you.

Although sunglasses are great protection for our eye but we can also use them in the morning to cover our puffy eyes or when we are upset and crying. Last but not least we can use them as our personal style. Sometimes a good pair of sunnies can give your self-confidence a boost and and makes you feel stylish.

I read something interesting about how to make sure the lenses of the sunglasses you chose are standard and good quality. Just hold the lenses over something square, like tiles, then move it to left and right, up and down, if the lines are still straight when you move the lenses, they’re standard and good quality, but if the lines tend to curve out specially around the corner of the lens then you should try another pair.

Dark colors such as dark grey, dark green and brown are good lens colors but we can also enjoy lighter colors specially during the summer time. The color of your lenses are really optional and you can choose them according to you taste and style.
