“ Kaarzaar “

“ Kaarzaar “ is an editorial photography project with the subject of Immigration; focusing on the children of immigrant families and young Afghan settlers in Iran since the last decade. The young generation of Afghan residents in Iran are usually laborers in exhausting jobs such as porterage or construction works from a very immature age however they carry big dreams in mind. For a generation as independent as this having a painful urge to be a migrant has become the desire to continue for the future of “ Dari Rap “. Dari Rap is one of the loved expressive styles of music amongst the global Afghan youth.

 

Thus, A’lia studio has made an effort into being a narrator of their attempt and looks.

Locating in one unfinished building; one of the primary sites for most of the immigrants to look after a job, a familiar zone with plenty of detail of their regular occupation. Yet this time Afghan youngsters are taking the scene! The main superstars of our story, posing confidently in front of the camera. Note that this project isn’t a social documentary but a fashion editorial, fantasy, and exaggeration are its inseparable substances.

Karozar is collaborative project by more than 30 Iranian designers residing inside and outside the country representing their latest clothing and jewelry collection from traditional apparel and makeup of Afghan men to contemporary workwear and street style of migrants in Iran with glance at Hip-Hop looks are gathered together to exhibit the story of these boys in a frame of an art project.
