Summer Fashion Guide for Men

Sweating like a fountain, melting like an ice-cream and the heatwave slapping your face… it all means one thing, summer is around the corner. The first thing about dressing during the summer is being comfortable and cool. No one wants to be the best dressed guy in the room but suffocates the whole day.

Don’t worry, comfort and style are not in a conflict.

Shirts

A summer shirt is something that every man must own, as they can take you from day to night with ease. You’ll want to go for a lighter material when it comes to your summer shirts, as heavier materials will weigh you down and make you even hotter, which will result in sweaty armpits, and no one wants that.

Linen is a great material for warmer weathers and it will keep you cool and airy when you’re walking around. White is a great color for summer, as it doesn’t keep in the heat, and will give your outfit a more summery feel.

T-Shirt

If you’re looking for a casual and airy look for hot summer days, t-shirts are your best friend. Go for classic white, navy and grey; you can go for black if you want, but remember to balance it out with a pair of lighter shorts so you’re not too hot. Always choose crew-neck T-shirts over V-necks. V-necks are a bit unflattering on most men, especially when they are too deep… In my personal opinion, this type of neckline should be illegal!

Trousers and Shorts

If you want to wear shorts this summer, remember that short shorts don’t look good on anyone! You want them to sit about 10 cm, maximum, above your knees. Remember you can always wear lightweight trousers instead of shorts. Go for classic styles in lighter colors, just so you’ll have that extra bit of airiness. Avoid wearing tight fitted pair as these will make you even hotter. Instead go for a wider legged pair in beige or stone color.

Shoes

When choosing your footwear for this summer you want something light and comfortable. A pair of sneakers can be the best option, as they’re stylish and versatile, so you can dress them up and down. Stick to a classic white pair that you can mix and match with different trousers and shorts for a casual summery look. If you’re not a fan of sneakers you can go for a pair of loafers. For the summer months choose a brown pair, as this color has more summery look to it and will go with the majority of your summer wardrobe.

Being stylish and chic during the summer isn’t hard at all. You just gotta start with basics and classics and gather yourself comfortable and stylish outfits.
