Aassttiinn in Teer Art:

Aassttiinn Online Shop with the centrality of trading, merchandising and cooperating with iranian designers was founded in 1395. For the past two years aassttiinn has proven that it is overly concerned about wearable products. In the first place, aassttiinn is not just an online store. In this regard, we have modified ourselves our goals. Our main purpose is to indicate and demonstrate the " Iranian  Lifestyle" .  As a matter of fact, this lifestyle includes " Iranian Art" as well. Anything that is related to creativity is important to aassttiinn. In other words, "being creative" is our motto. We believe that this this method can be moving in the contemporary world and will have an impact on raising iranian culture. Considering this, an event like TeerArt which is bonded with iranian culture and art is widely related to our goals. We, as a team working on iranian fashion, are glad to have had a part in the formation of this Art Week. Especially this year that the event policy was different and  artworks of the artists have been exhibited in different parts of the city.

Since the beginning of its work,  aassttiinn has aimed to make a movements and to support art events, even in small amounts; such as: creating a conversation space at the Art University of Tehran among students and the designers working with aassttiinn, creating workshops and giving young iranian designers lots of opportunities.

I believe that organizing these sort of events can help us to take another glance to ourselves and to have a better understanding of our capacities and skills. So that in the future we become a cultural gravity point among other countries , and of course, to strengthen our trust in the " Iranian Lifestyle".

In order to achieve this, we have to prove that the products we create are not necessarily from lower qualities than other countries. Garments designed by aassttiinn team which have been produced for the candidates could be proof of this. In the design of this garment we have completely used iranian elements. We are glad to have had the chance to have a share in the first Iranian art fair. We hope that these movements continue in the field of fashion, as well as the visual arts; so that a larger amount of people would embrace the iranian art and culture.

Here is a snippet into the conversation we had with Fouziyeh Foroudnia the designer that designed the
clothes for the Volonteer’s of Teer Art Week:

Fouziyeh Foroudnia was born in May 1988 in Kerman. She received her bachelor in Graphic Design from Tehran University of Art in 2013. Since her graduation she started her experimental work in the field of
fashion design under the brand name “Foje”.
In 2017, she did an interactive project named “comod” in DASTAN’S BASEMENT, sponsored by AASSTTIINN.This was a collaboration between a designer/artist a gallery and an online shop focused on fashion. After this collaboration she started working with AASSTTIINN as a designer. In her own words:” What I really cared about when I started working with aassttiinn, was the fact that I saw them giving good and consistent service to their clients. Also the attention they have paid to their identity, branding, packaging and the leasing attitude of their team as well as the management are some of the factors that
attracted me towards working with them.”
She believes, as she talks about one of her collections:” clothes are very similar to doors, from this point of view that they both separate two spaces and cover a space, but at the same time give us a very limited yet useful amount of information. Clothes through giving us small visual codes in a very limited way reveal parts of the person’s character to us. Just as doors reveal a certain amount of information about the space behind the door, this holds specially true for places such as a mosque, a restaurant or a shopping center. At the same time doors make a very clear distinction between the two spaces and its boarder.
Therefor we can say architecture has a very special place as a source of inspiration for her work.
At the moment one o her main concerns is to retell a story about some o the stuff that as Iranians we
have dealt with since childhood all the way up to now, in a new light.

Considering the fact that the teer art week is exhibited in different art spaces, in the design of the candidates clothing, emphasizing on the influence of architecture in the designing of the candidates clothing, she has used arch-shaped forms that has been an inspiration to her. Using this, she has designed unisex free-sized coats, corresponding with aassttiinn's visual identity and the colors black and orange. Besides, considering the cold weather in this season, she has designs the layered arch-shaped forms with wool, so that it makes the wearer feel comfortable and free, as well as covered and warm. This form of garment can be worn both in- and outdoors, forming a formal look, as well as comfortable and free. At the end she says:" Working with aassttiinn again was valuable and appealing to me."
